The Ladyboy Water Volleyball 2012 Competition was staged as a ‘one-off’ event. No one had expected it to be so successful. After this initial LBWVB 2012 success it was decided to repeat in 2013. The initial target for total donations raised was set at 500,000 Baht based on working harder on fund raising. As the year progressed it became clear that we could reach 750,000 baht which was very exciting. Then, to top it off, a very generous guy (call him Paul) laid down a challenge:

“Raise 900,000 Baht and I will contribute 100,000 to take it to the Magic Million”

He kindly deposited the money on the understanding that, if we failed, he would get his money back.
The event ended up doing even better than that!   The fantastic result was made possible by some generous people and all the participants and attendees.
